Ster Vraz Beach in Sauzon is the largest beach west of Belle Ile en Mer. It is located near the Cave of the Apothecary and is surrounded by cliffs near which one can take shelter. The width of the beach reflects the width of the valley, which precedes it, occupied by several small freshwater ponds and marsh plants... (Ster Vraz means "big river"). The beach is in a natural setting, but with access facilities because the road is close by, which is rare for beaches of the wild coast. The sand here is not unforgettably fine, there are pebbles in some places and the foreshore is only picked up by the sea, but it is a popular beach for casual visitors or regulars. Particularly those who installed their caravans nearby.
