Main beach of Gâvres, Grande-Plage beach extends for several kilometres from the city centre to the beach of Linès on the borough of Plouhinec.
The most interesting area is on the side of the Gavre point, near the city centre. The beach is wide and well equipped: showers, toilets, lifeguard station, water activities and fine sand. It is here that it is the most crowded. Two main accesses, one at the cemetery level and the other at the Avenue de l'Océan (this is where the lifeguard station is located).
On the side of Plouhinec, the beach becomes more untamed and is bordered by dunes. However, depending on the area, the beach is very narrow at high tide. No facilities in this part, you have to park along the roadside.
