Our opinion on the Mare e Sole Beach
Mare e Sole Beach is located south of Pietrosella in the Bay of Ajaccio. It may also be named Silver Beach (for its ultra-light coloured sand). This beautiful sandy beach is shared with Coti-Chiavari resort. Despite the presence of numerous beach huts and private beaches, you can still find the untamed side to this beach through the nearby pine forest and the cows roaming on the beach (visible on our photos). Swimming is possible in the gently shelving sheltered bay. However, this beach is not supervised.
To go to the beach, take the direction to Coti-Chiavari by the D55 (Mare E Sole road). Arriving near the beach, the cove is visible from the road (in addition there are numerous billboards for private beaches). There are a few parking spaces at the beach or you have to park along the roadside.
