The seaside destination of Propriano is located in the south of Corsica, between Ajaccio and Bonifacio. To the north of the mouth of the Rizzanese and in the gulf with the same name, we find a large number of beaches in Propriano among which are those of Portigliolo, Capu Laurosu, Lido, Puraja and Mancinu. Most are easily reachable, but we could also opt for the little confidential creeks that we can reach by clay paths. Nearby, toward Porto-Pollo, we find Cupabia Beach which could be one of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica.
Between tanning, you have to visit Sartène in the countryside, just about fifteen kilometers from here. This little town is full of history and is made of little streets bordered by fortified houses anchored in the rock. All around the wild bush and the vineyards add a magical feel to this landscape and are crossed by superb routes. I Stantari and Rinaiu are some sites that are not to miss, made of menhirs, dressed stones and other granite monuments that, even after several millennium the purpose is still unknown! A territory full of mystery! The Sartène coast is exceptional with its lovely sand beaches, but they aren't always easy to access. The beaches of Campomoro deserve a detour. Only a few kilometers to the north we find a few nice little creeks and beaches in Olmeto.
Note that Propriano is a departure point for Sardinia.
