Our opinion on the Laoute Cove

Adresse of the Laoute Cove : Ch de Ceinture 06400 Iles de Lérins - Ste Marguerite

After the pointe du Dragon, near the intersection of the Allee Faure and the chemin de Ceinture, we find the small cove of the Laoute with small pebblestones. Relatively narrow, it has the advantage of having an access to the sea without rock formations. Moreover, a few pine trees provide shade. But be careful, it is highly frequented in summer, one absolutely must arrive early in the morning to find a place. On the right side, we find a few smooth rock formations where one can tan. On the left, the coast becomes very rocky and it is impossible to lay down.

To get to this cove from the unloading stage, take the allee du Dragon and then the chemin de Ceinture. Pass the coves du Dragon (they are very pleasant). About 10 meters after the intersection of the allee de Faure, you will find at the base the cove that you seek.

Annonce
Photo of Laoute cove - Lerins island (Marguerite)

This small cove is situated to the southwest of the island of Sainte-Marguerite, near the pointe du Dragon. It is relatively narrow but we find here a flat zone with small pebblestones.

Some pines provide shade in summer. Facing this cove, a beautiful view of the cote de l'Esterel.

Rocky coast of the Sainte Marguerite island - Lerins

As you can see in this photo, the coast is very rocky in this zone. Our cove is in the forefront on the right. We find in the sector other zones where one can swim (but with less comfort).

Rocks between Dragon and Laoute coves

Between the last cove du Dragon and the preceding cove, we find a few zones with rock formations. Here we find children above all.

Next to the cove de Laoute (on the right), we find a few smooth rock formations to lay down a towel.

Rocks after Laoute cove in Ste Marguerite island

After the cove de Laoute (a few meters on the left), the coast becomes very rocky. Some people use this zone as a beach but it is impossible to spread out a towel (rocks too big). Moreover the access to the sea is very difficult.
