Our opinion on the Portet Cove
The cove du Portet on the island of Sainte-Marguerite is situated after the forest house and the private property, about 20 meters after the allee du Portet. This little-known cove is in our estimation one of the most beautiful of the island of Sainte-Marguerite. Surrounded by flat rock formations, the beach is composed of small pebblestones. The rock formations on the sides amuse children. Yet, one must arrive very early in the morning to reserve it.
Before this cove, we find some flat rock formations.
To arrive at this cove from the unloading stage, the shortest way is to take the chemin des Eucalyptus which allows you to rejoin the forest house. Then you'll take the allee du Centre on the left followed by the allee du Portet which allows you to rejoin the shore. Approximately 20 minutes by foot.

Photos of the Portet Cove
Just before crossing the allee du Portet when coming from the pointe du Dragon, we find some flat rock formations where one can lay down.
After that, the coast is rocky with a few small hidden coves.
A few dozen meters after the allee du Portet, we find this small pleasant cove surrounded by rocky points.
On the right part, near the rock formations, we find a kind of natural pool (in which we cannot swim...). Rather unusual. Facing this, we have the northeast point of the island of St. Honorat.
On the left part, we find the rock formations so appreciated by the young ones.
Here we have a view of the east side of this cove. In the background, it is the massif de l'Esterel in the Var.
