Antibes, the second largest city of the Alpes Maritimes, is one of the region’s most charming seaside resorts. From old Antibes to the Cap d'Antibes, the beaches of Antibes are covered in sand. From Vauban fort in the direction of Nice, we find the large pebble beach quieter than the beaches of the city centre.
Old Antibes is remarkable and undoubtedly the most beautiful city of the seaside resort of the Côte d’Azur. Narrow streets with craft persons, shops, restaurants and pubs make it one of the busiest cities in the region. You can go to the market near the town hall and buy local products in the mornings. The Picasso Museum is also a must-see, not to mention the free Safranier district, a succession of flowery streets with beautiful restored houses.
Antibes is a lively resort all year round. The old town offers many restaurants and cafes near the city walls and the port. Families can go to Marineland where they can attend shows featuring killer whales, sea lions and dolphins. A water park, Aqualand, is located nearby.
Those looking for festive entertainment will head to the beaches of Juan les Pins (town of Antibes) where the city centre is organized around restaurants, cafes, nightclubs and casinos. Those who are looking for a wild environment will go to the beaches and coves of the Cap d'Antibes (The Cap separates Antibes from Juan les Pins).
