Our opinion on the L'Hopital beach - Callot island
L’Hôpital is the name of the island to the left of the beach on which is installed on oyster business (there are many oyster beds all around the island, including off this beach of the Hôpital beach). Largest beach on the island of Callot but perhaps the least charming. It is recommended to avoid trampling the dune in the process of constitution. Only part allowed to cars the Hôpital has parking at each end. And a lawn at one of them.
Walking access from the street of Port de Carantec or by car (only at low tide, submersible path, pay attention to tide times for return…).

Beautiful sandy circle arc. It is a frequented beach in summer.
One of the most « recent » constructions. It goes back to the 70s. Sinc ewe do not touch the frame anymore to renovate it.
The southern part of this beach is the least touched. It is however the longest.
We can also lie on the grass.
At the end, at the Hôpital, the oyster business still active.
The dune hardly takes back its rights on the sand. We are asked to help it by not trampling on it.
Last parking before a part of the island reserved for pedestrians and cyclists. Come by bike is also highly recommended if you want to see everything : the island is over 2 km long and has many nooks and crannies.
