Our opinion on the Ruguel Beach
Nestled at the bottom of the bay of Laber, and at foot of the peninsula of Perharidi, this little unknown beach of Ruguel wins to be a little less. Fine sanded and surrounded by dunes, there is a double feeling, solitude and vastness. At high tide because you have the impression of having the sea for yourself, at low tide because the open areas (that can be huge by high tides) offers a virtually unlimited fishing ground. Away from the roads, it is not the crowd and yet the dunes and the sand devoid of seaweed make it a perfect environment for idleness and intimacy. Note that it is one of the only beaches in Roscoff where dogs are tolerated. It is rare enough to be noted. Note that dogs are tolerated on this beach.

Wild setting, white sand…A beach that needs to be better known. In the background, the rock of Roc’h Ruguel.
Dunes and dune vegetation (oat, gorse, cypress, tamarisk…) gives it a wild look.
All the bottom of the handle (even inland) consists of sand, on which the vegetation has recovered its rights.
At low tide, the available space becomes immense.
The beach is allowed for dogs. If they are clean (or if their masters are for them).
The rock of Roc’h Ruguel. We are at the beginning of the peninsula of Perharidi whose whole environment (beaches and land) is not to be missed.
