Our opinion on the Vieille Eglise Beach

Adresse of the Vieille Eglise Beach : Rte de la Vieille Église 50270 Barneville-Carteret

The beach of the Vieille Eglise (Old Church) of Barneville-Carteret is the most wild beach of the seaside station. It begins north of the Cape Carteret and ends at the level of the Pointe of Rozel, that is more than 10 kilometres of fine sand (it is on several villages). Because of currents, bathing is forbidden there. On the contrary, it is a very nice place to go for a walk. She is edged by imposing dunes, property of the conservatory of coastal region. Tracks are done up there.

This beach is very visited by the surfers. They come there also to practice there from the sand yacht.

In 200 metres on right, a zone is found where naturism is practiced (family company).

To return you on this beach, it is necessary to follow the indications of the Cap de Carteret and of the headlight (D902 then road of Both Beaches then road of the Old Church). They arrive on a free parking. A track allows to join the beach (about 250 metres).
