Sud Beach in Lacanau-Océan is located to the south of downtown. It is the only beach that is labeled as handicap accessible (but will need help crossing the dune). Access to this beach is made by crossing a large dune equipped with duckboards. This beach has a lifeguard in the summer and and we find toilets at the top of the dune. To the right we join Central Beach and downtown and to the left we join Super Sud Beach.
At the foot of the dune we find a large bicycle park. The parking lot for cars can be found at the exit of the beach. Note that the first-aid station is found near Boulevard des Mimosas (place de la Concorde).
Other entrances are available, but there is no lifeguard there.
To get to this beach, follow signs for “plages Sud”.
