Our opinion on the Central Beach
Central Beach in Lacanau is located downtown near the shops and restaurants. This long sand beach extends between Sud and Nord beaches. To get to this beach, you won't need to cross tall dunes. We arrive directly from the summit where there are several parking lots (paid parking in season) and stairs that lead to the beach. Be careful, the beach becomes almost nonexistent at high tide. Near downtown there are several shops and restaurants. Going more toward the north is a surf center and skate park.

This beach can be found downtown. It is accessible by stairs.
We can see the stairs leading to the beach. Note that the beach completely disappears at high tide.
This beach extends over several kilometers. To the right (not visible in the photo) are several parking lots.
To the right we can see the seafront of Lacanau. We find several restaurants and shops.
At the edge of this central beach we find surf schools. We can see a couple surfers to the left of the photo.
This beach continues all the way to Sud Beach where we find a new first-aid station.
