Gressier Beach in Le Porge Océan is a large sand beach that extends over several kilometers between the beaches Jenny, to the south, and Lacanau to the north. This main beach near the large parking lot has a lifeguard in the summer. This beach is recommended for lovers of nature. This zone has no construction – only a few shops behind the dune. Attention: like the other beaches in Gironde, swimming is dangerous. If you would like to swim, use the lifeguarded zones and ask the lifeguards which areas are safe.

From the parking lots we find to entrances to this beach joining the dune. The path is landscaped with duckboards.

To get here from Le Porge, follow directions for Le Porge-Océan (one road about ten kilometers long – avenue de l'ocean). A large parking lot is available with 2500 places.

Located in Le Porge-Océan, this natural beach offers an out of the ordinary setting for lovers of nature.

This fine sand beach extends over several kilometers to Jenny beach (the nudist center of Le Porge).

A lifeguard center is perched in the dunes and open only in the summer.

Visited this July and found a deserted section of the same beach by cycling about 2 miles south - we were on our own all day with just a handful,of waterside strollers passing by. The surf was still very strong - better on low tide but take care. We tried the same beach about 4 miles north but found the 'gay' area briefly, so avoid if not your scene I would suggest

Superb Beach added october 31, 2015

Visited in 2013 and will return in 2016 with new camper van. Large sandy beach with Atlantic waves and few people if you walk 800m in either direction from the main access. So quiet that it was possible to sunbathe and swim ''au naturelle". The sea is powerful so care needs to be exercised. Beautiful!
