Bordardoué Ouest Beach is located north west of Belle-Ile-en-Mer in the town of Le Palais. This accessible part of Bordardoué differs from the eastern part, which is much more closed and difficult to reach. Here, the atmosphere is family-oriented: games, water sports, fishing or on foot ... No entertainment other than those one imagines oneself doing. Long (300 m for the central part, double if the creeks on either side are added), it provides plenty of activities. As for swimming, beware: at high tide, by the east wind, the waves are sometimes violent at the edge of the plateau that rises suddenly. The caves and coves provide shade from the blazing sun.
Some parts of the cliff are, it seems, unique in the entire world thanks to their structure with thin layers of tuffs and colourful and folded quartz. But the eye of the geologist will be more expert than ours to detect it.
From Le Palais, on the coast road, turn left in the hamlet of Port Salio (not Bordardoué); a road leads straight to the main beach of Bordardoué Ouest, with a car park.
