Ramonet Cove, the closest to Le Palais, is truly "the beach to be” and the most important town of Belle Ile en Mer. It can accommodate over a hundred people, plus two small coves/caves on each side. It is sunny until late afternoon; this beach is often crowded. It has always been so because it was an exclusive place in the early days of tourism on Belle Ile, with its cabins, all gone nowadays. On the tip of Ramonet, on the right, in addition to the eponymous fort, one has a breathtaking view of the harbour of the Palais, the citadel, Quiberon on the continent and the island of Houat on the right.
On foot, from Le Palais, turn left on the coastal path in rue de l'Escalier. At the top, 200 m away, one comes across a ruined mill. Turn left down below, under the entrance to Locmaria. Continue up and down.
By car, take the exit towards Bangor, and then turn left on Rue de Port Hallan and Ramonet.
