"Poul Don" means "Deep Cove". These two words sum up the whole beach. The beach is covered in sand and pebbles. There is much more sand as the tide goes down because the entire bed of the estuary is formed of it. The beach is mainly used for launching; it is also nice for swimming but is impractical for beach games. It is therefore advisable for the occasion.
On the D25, towards Locmaria, turn right at Ty Seveno, then, at the hamlet of Pouldon, take the first path on the right, which goes down the valley. Parking is limited and the turn around is a little freestyle when it's crowded.
