Lagune Beach in Pyla-sur-Mer - France

This has to be one of the beast beaches pristine sands no litter. Gorgeous naturist beach lots of couples singles room for everyone and wonderful surf too

Visited late August 2017. This was my first time on a naturist beach. All I can say is why didn't I do it ages ago? The naturist zone is clearly marked, although there was some overlap with the clothed area, and the area just after the markers was the most populated - better to walk a bit further. The sand is perfect (if a little awkward to walk through) and there's plenty of room. As a single man (early 50's) I was able to find my own space, never felt pressured by others and cant say I ever saw people behaving inappropriately. The age group seemed to be mid-twenties to seniors, very few children. Distances between beach users was always respectful. The sea, although very cold, is incredibly refreshing after lying in the hot sun - just familiarise yourself with the current which runs along the beach, changing direction with the tide. The naturist zone goes much further down the beach towards Salie Nord than you realise, and don't be afraid to take a stroll along the surf - just turn back when you start seeing clothed zones. I only had five days, I could have stayed weeks.

The only downside is the walk from the car park over duck-boards and then across the fine sand, but it's quicker to walk South along the cycle track towards Plage Salie Nord and then turn right on one of the tracks towards the sea. There are now places to padlock bikes.

I will definitely return!

This is a beautiful golden sand naturist beach with an exposed sand bar at low side giving access to clear blue/green surf. Mainly couples but a few single men behaving in a rather weird, though harmless, way. In late June the beach was not busy. Our only issue was the lack of any lockable cycle parking, crazy considering the extensive cycle ways serving the beach and others in the area.
