Our opinion on the Salie North Beach
Salie North Beach in Pyla sur Mer is a reputed surf spot. Located to the south of town, this big sand beach has a lifeguard in the summer and many restaurants nearby in La Teste forest.
The environment is very nice but it takes a while to get to this beach because we have to cross a large dune. To the left, we can see the Wharf de la Salie. It is located about 1.5 kilometers from Salie North Beach.
To get here, follow directions for Biscarrosse from Pyla-Plage by taking the D218. Access to the beach is located at 2.2 kilometers from Lagune Beach. We find a large parking lot near the access path.

This large sand beach is halfway between Pyla-Plage and Biscarrosse.
We have a view of this beach from the dune. It extends all the way to Salie South beach. We see the Wharf in the background that allows water to evacuate from the Bassin d'Arcachon to the ocean after treatment.
Access to this beach is long since we have to cross dunes to get here, but we find a duckboard path.
