Our opinion on the Pilat Beach

Pilat Beach is located near the place called “Pilat-Plage” in the Bassin d'Arcachon in Pyla sur Mer near the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean. We find several little sand beaches in the form of a triangle separated by little dams and a concrete promenade. Visually, the environment is agreeable with a great view of the beaches of Cap-Ferret across, and of the Dune du Pilat on the left and of the beaches of Arcachon on the right. These different sand beaches do not have a lifeguard.

To get here, take boulevard de l'Ocean toward Biscarosse. Near Pilat-Plage we find a few parking spots along the road as well as a parking lot on avenue du Banc d'Arguin.

There are several areas where you can lay out your towel. In this photo, you can see the beach along the sea and another near the path. We cross from one to the other by stairs.

In the foreground we see some sand banks around Pilat Beach, then we see Daniel Meller Beach, then Moulleau Beach in Arcachon and finally, near the point is Abatilles beach in Arcachon.
