The Mugel calanque in La Ciotat is the largest in this seaside resort area. It is located near the entrance of Mugel park on the avenue with the same name. This calanque is about 100 meters long and composed of stones. It offers an amazing view of Ile Verte and Bec de l'Aigle (to the right). Alas, to the left we have a view of the cranes in the harbor of La Ciotat. There is a restaurant on this beach.
To get here from the Vieux-Port (Old Harbor), follow directions for “Calanques” and Mugel Park, then take the avenue du Mugel. At the end of the road, take a left and you'll see a parking lot in 100 meters. The calanque is accessible from a little road at the intersection of avenue du Mugel and avenue des Calanques (not accessible by car because there is no parking).
