Beaches in Bandol (83150) France - advise, map and photos

Bandol is without a doubt the most popular seaside city in the west of the Var Department, though it seems more like it belongs in Provence due to its famous rosé. Protected by the neighboring hills and therefore protected from the famous wind, le Mistral, downtown Bandol offers a certain charm. The harbor and Ile de Bendor give it a very picturesque feel.

It's not always easy to choose a beach at Bandol, as we have many great options! Our favorite is Renecros Beach with its white sand, even if many structures give it a rather modern feel. We equally find some little discreet creeks in Bandol along the coastal path which allows us to join Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer. Centrale Beach and Casino Beach are equally very nice with beautiful stretches of sand.

Ile de Bendor is another attraction in Bandol, even if this isle is minuscule (10 minutes by foot to see the whole island) and its little harbor is a bit tacky... Boats travel from the Bandol harbor to the Ile de Bendor, but its rather expensive in our opinion...even dogs have to pay for a seat! We think Ile des Embiez in Six-Four-les-Plages is more interesting. Nearby we find a little swimming area in Sanary sur Mer which we find very charming with its little Pointus harbor.
