Gautrelle Beach on the Island of Oléron is located next to the sea of Pertuis, in the town of St George west of the port of Douhet. This sandy beach stretches along the beginning of the forest of Samonards. There is a campsite in the center. In summer, there is a first aid station and it is equipped for disabled people. The environment is very quiet (especially away from the campsite) and is bordered by a pedestrian path. On the left side, there are several rock dikes (one has the impression of being on different beaches). Nice view of Fort Boyard and on the island of Aix by clear weather.
To get to this beach from Boyardville, take the D126 north. At the exit sign of Sauzelle (entrance in the Gibertière), take the road on the right. There is a car park at the end of this road opposite the campsite.
