Our opinion on the Planginot Beach
Planginot Beach in La Brée les Bains on the island of Oléron is the main beach of this resort in the north of the island. It is divided into two areas. The northern part is reserved for windsurfing (with an area for jet-ski). South, along the alley of the dike, the beach is reserved for swimming and is supervised in summer. It is on the left of the beach volleyball courts (summer only) and the bar (at the first aid station). Access is designed for disabled people. There are also some beach huts, which provide an authentic side to this beach. In season, there is a sailing school. Attendance is significant because there are many campsites in the area.
To reach this beach, follow the signs to La Brée sur Bains. There are parking spaces at the end of Rue des Tamaris.
