Chaucre Beach in Saint Georges of Oléron is located northwest of the island of Oléron at the tip of Chaucre, north of the village of Domino. This large sandy beach stretches several kilometres (one quickly passes through the municipality of Saint Denis of Oléron and the beach is named Huttes) and swimming is gently sloping. In summer, there is a monitoring station. It is also a surf spot when it is windy. The view stretches to the lighthouse of Chassiron. Beautiful dunes along the beach.
There are several accesses to this beach. By car, the easiest way is to park in the car park on rue Pointe de Chaucre (from the village of Domino, the beach is indicated, one can go through the street to Chaucre Beach then rue du Canot de sauvetage). One can also go through the dead end of Epinouses.
