Fours à Chaux Beach is located to the south-west of Saint-Malo near the Rance dam. Because of this, we find a strong courant in this bay and swimming is forbidden. Shellfishing not allowed either (health risks). Unfortunate because the environment is very agreeable and very authentic. However, parking is almost impossible around here.
To get here from St Malo, take D137 toward Barrage de la Rance. At the roundabout, follow Le Rosais (Boulevard du Rosais) then take a right onto the road that descends after 150 meters (rue de l'Enfer). The beach is found at the end.
Note that dogs are not allowed on this beach from the 1st of June to 30th of September.
