The seaside destination of Saint-Malo is without a doubt one of the most appreciated in Brittany. Located on the Cote d'Emeraude (Emerald Coast), the city is known for its ramparts that protect it from the strong tides of Europe. Chateaubriand, Jacques Cartier and Robert Surcouf were born and inspired by the English Channel and the shores of Rance. This is one of the most visited cities in Brittany.
The harbor of Saint-Malo is the second largest in Brittany, welcoming several million tourists coming from the Anglo-Norman islands, Ireland and Great Britain each year. With its 83 historic monuments, the city has what it takes to attract visitors. The first things to go see are: the cathedral Saint-Vincent and the castle edified between the 15th and 18th centuries.
This destination is also known for is vast coastline of 29 kilometers! We find about a dozen beaches in Saint-Malo: Bon Secours, Nicet, Val, Minihic, Havre, Eventail, Rochebonne... they offer superb landscapes and are equipped so that thousand of tourists come each summer. The most beautiful beaches are found near Rothéneuf (north of Saint-Malo).
This bourgeoise destination of the Emerald Coast offers beautiful villas from the beginning of the 20th century. We understand that this coastal city was reputed very early.
We can equally benefit from our stay by visiting the surrounding areas, notably the beautiful beaches of Saint Coulomb around the points of Meinga and Nid. The beaches of St Lunaire are equally sought out. We can also visit Mont-Saint-Michel which is found only about 50 kilometers away.
