On the west coast of the point Varde, near Pont Beach, we find the creek of Fort Varde in Saint-Malo. Totally hidden, this creek offers a wild and preserved setting. However, it is difficult to access since there are many large rocks (see photos). At low tide the sand bank gets considerably bigger. For lovers of calm and solitude, come here.
To get to this beach from the center of St Malo, join up with the point Varde by taking D201 toward Rothéneuf. After Pont Beach, take rue Minihic then rue de la Tour de Bonheur. Parking is difficult here.
