Our opinion on the Base Nautique Beach
Saint Jean de Monts’ Base Nautique is near the dam. Although there is a large residence on the beach and a marina, the beach marks the break with the city centre with the appearance of sand dunes. If you want peace and quiet, go slightly to the north. The beach is supervised in the summer season and you can practice sand yachting.
The dam is accessible and is popular with fishermen.
There is a bar next to the aquatic centre.
To go to the beach from the centre of St Jean, take the road north. At the big roundabout, take left towards the golf club and turn on the left (dead end road, the nautical centre is indicated). Free parking near the beach.
