There are two small unfamiliar sandy coves north of Brétignolles sur Mer near Sauzaie Beach. The environment is preserved with a coastline free of constructions. They are accessible at low tide.
Both creeks are separated by about 100 meters. The northern one is bigger. It is covered in sand and rocks, and the landscape is completely different compared to the other beaches in Brétignolles. It is ideal for those looking for peace and quiet. Fishermen also attend it. Please note that dogs are allowed on this beach.
For the first cove, the easiest way is to park in the northern car park of Sauzaie Beach (note that there are toilets there) and then go north by the seaside road (about 5 minutes on foot). The second one can be reached through this same path in 10 minutes. One can also park in the small car park near the second creek (there are very few places, take Montée de la Pierre Street and then turn right. The car park is 250 meters away.
