The Conche de Saint-Georges-de-Didonne beach occupies the southern part of the Grande Conche (access no. 31). A beach in an untamed setting on the edge of a forest, the ambiance here is completely different from the Grande Plage. Beside a shower and toilets, there are no amenities. Here you'll appreciate the calm (despite the presence of multiple nearby campgrounds) and the low visitation (limited by parking which is difficult in summer). On the right, some rocks protrude at low tide (ideal for shore fishing).
The beach begins at the extremity of the Grande Plage (where the interstate veers inland). The easiest is to park in the Grande Plage parking lot on the south side toward the forest. There is also access from the Suzac Fort street but parking is impossible (the route is closed in summer).
