The beach of Gilet is the last cove of Vaux-sur-Mer before arriving at the beach of Pontaillac at Royan. To take advantage of the stretch of sand, we recommend coming at low tide; at high tide, the sea covers it entirely. A few rock formations on the side provide a place to lay a towel down. Neither supervision nor infrastructure on this beach, only a few fishing piers.
To get to this little beach of peace and quiet, take the Boulevard de la Conche Gilet perpendicular to the Boulevard de la Côte de Beauté. Access is by staircases.
