Located in the heart of Medoc, a few kilometres from the Gironde estuary, the small resort of Montalivet-les-Bains is a haven of tranquillity between the Landes forest, ocean and marsh. To the south, we find Naujac sur Mer with its beach of “Pin Sec” and to the north the beach of Gurp, both very untamed.
His greatest asset is undoubtedly its coastline. The beaches of Montalivet-les-Bains extend for twelve kilometers and have been awarded the Blue Flag status. The South and Centre beaches are the most popular and offer numerous activities: sailing, bodyboarding, sea kayaking, speed-sailing, fly surf, surfing ... Montalivet is primarily a quiet sports resort offering many bike and walking trails.

The town is also known for its summer market, particularly for its wine stalls and crafts, but also because it has one of the largest naturist centres in Europe, as well as the Euronat centre a few kilometers north in Grayan l’Hôpital. Its rich heritage makes it a popular destination for all, the nineteenth century churchand its superb carved pulpit and picturesque typical houses are there to see! It is recommended to take advantage of your stay by visiting the surrounding towns: Soulac-sur-Mer, Le Verdon, Hourtin and its lake and further south the Natural Reserve of Etang du Cousseau which borders the town of Lacanau, Capital of surfing where many international competitions are held!
