The southern portion of the Grande Plage de Royan is situated in the community of St. Georges de Didonne. This portion is called the Vallières Beach. In summer it is a well-equipped beach with a lifeguard station, several restaurants and activities (children's club, beach volleyball tournaments, etc.). Here you'll find a wonderful panorama of the bay of Royan which is accessible by foot. In the south zone (near the rocky point) it is possible to shore fish (rock benches). Visitation is reasonable even in the middle of summer, undoubtedly because of limited parking (the length of the road).
