To the south of the beach of the Nonnes of Meschers sur Gironde, the narrow Conche of Cadet hides between limestone cliffs. This preserved and little-known beach offers a unique setting at the foot of limestone cliffs (they are very impressive with houses on the summit and some troglodytic habitations). We go to this beach as the tide wanes (at high tide, the beach disappears entirely) to take advantage of the calm. On the side, a few fishing piers reveal this to be a good fishing spot.
Be careful, swimming is not supervised and the access staircases are not well maintained. Also, a sign indicates that the beach is dangerous (possible rockslides). Access to the beach is situated on the avenue des Nonnes. Before arriving at the beach of the Nonnes, the road parts to the left. Access to the canal is 30 meters away. Parking is difficult in summer.
