Our opinion on the Castagna Beach
The beach of Castagna in Coti-Chiavari is located near the Tower of Castagna west from Portigliolo. This little sandy creek is totally unknown and its access is quite difficult (little departmental road in the middle of the forest). It is little but you might be alone on it ! On both ends there are many rocks. The environment is pleasant and it seems like the end of the world. However, because of many rocks, bathing can be dangerous in windy and rough seas (so at your own risk).
Access to this creek is a hard access. Coming from the beach of Portigliolo continue to the south on the D155 then in pin take on the right the D655 (road indicated dead end - La Castagna sign). Follow the road for less then 2 km and then take on the left in direction of Vicolo (small road). The creek is located at the end of the road, only a few spaces to park.

On both ends of the beach, there are many rocks. Be careful, we are on a tip so we are exposed to the winds. So bathing is at your own risk.
