The cove of Bourmandariel in La Couronne (part of Martigues) has several beaches and coves. This area can be classed as untamed with its very specific rocks of the Blue Coast. It's not the most beautiful beach of the Couronne because the choice is huge in this resort but many seaside towns would like to have an area of this quality. Don’t hesitate if you have several days’ holidays in the Couronne, it’s worth a visit!
Two accesses to the various beaches of the cove that extend for over 700 meters: the first via paluds where there is parking (a little rocky) and the second by the D49 (on the right path before joining the waterfront). For the first access, you will have several small pebble beaches and some small coves. For the second access, it has a nice sandy beach next to the parking. Both areas are within walking distance in about 10 minutes. Families with children will have a preference for the second area.
