Our opinion on the Sainte Croix Beach - La Couronne
Sainte Croix beaches in La Couronne are among the most beautiful beaches of Martigues. There are two beaches in the cove of Ste Croix.
The first is on the road of Tamaris and has a large paying car park (450 places). Situated below the car park and a beautiful pine forest, it is accessible by stairs. A lifeguard station is available during the summer season. The setting is exceptional with pine trees and a small chapel. The sand is fine which is great for the children. Note that there are shower facilities (next to the chapel), and paying toilets near the car park.
The second beach of the cove of Sainte Croix is located on the “Four à Chaud” road (both beaches are only separated by a rock). Parking is also available. This sandy beach is shorter but it is very wide. It is also easily accessible for people with reduced mobility (no stairs).
Note that this beach is also called Saulce Beach and is used for the filming of the French TV program Camping Paradis.

Here we have a panoramic view of both beaches of Ste Croix. The first is the location of the TV program Camping Paradise. The second (in the background of the photo after the rocks) is more easily accessible for the people with reduced mobility.
This first sandy beach of Sainte Croix is close to the path of Tamaris. It is supervised during the summer season.
