Arnette Beach in Martigues is located west of Carro and is accessible from the coastal path. This sandy beach is located in a sort of bay of the Mediterranean Sea which guarantees calm water for swimming and high sea temperature in the summer season. The environment is untamed. The only black spot are the towers of the EDF power station of Martigues that are visible on the right side when going to this small bay and reminds us that we are close to a heavily industrialized area.
The area is also famous for scuba diving.
Access to this beach is via the Boulevard du Front de Mer. At the end of it, there is ample free parking (just passable) from where the coastal path starts. From the car park, it takes less than 10 minutes to access the small beach.
