Agosta Beach in Porticcio is located in the southern part of the gulf of Ajaccio. This large sandy beach stretches for about 2 km. In the central part, there are many restaurants and hotels. Both ends are wild, especially the northern part. This sandy beach is very nice even if it is not child friendly. Indeed, in the water, the slope is steep and quickly deep. Moreover, swimming is dangerous when it is windy: large rollers and currents that can take one offshore. There are also many water activities in summer (jet skiing, buoy, parasailing...).
To get to Agosta Beach from downtown Ajaccio, take the RD55 south. At the big roundabout, keep right (the left provides access to the ring road). The beach is located along the departmental road. There are several free car parks.
