Little village of Caux, Vattetot sur Mer is ideally located on the Côte d’Albâtre between Etretat to the west and Yport to the east. The village is a few kilometres from the sea.
The hamlet of Vaucottes is in a beautiful valley with some English style villas (just 3 km from Vattetot). After this, there is the unique beach of Vattetot sur Mer which is unfortunately prohibited for swimming. This is probably the reason why this waterfront has never been developed. From this beach you can admire the high cliffs of the Côte d’Albâtre, practice shore fishing at low tide or sunbathing.
Thanks to its proximity to the many points of interest the Pays de Caux, Vattetot sur Mer can be an interesting base (but the number of seasonal residences is very low). You will discover the high cliffs downstream and upstream of Etretat, the port of Fécamp, the seaside resorts and the beaches of Dieppe and Le Havre. With the bridge of Normandy, the Côte Fleurie and the beaches of Calvados are nearby. The break between the high cliffs of the Pays de Caux and the large sandy beaches of the Côte Fleurie is abrupt but impressive.
