About forty kilometers from Le Havre is the old fishing harbor of Fécamp and its beautiful stone beach with an important place on the Cote d'Albatre. On the seafront, to the north, we find the Fécamp harbor where we can embark on walks on the sea. The beach is found in the south of Fécamp, on boulevard Albert Premier.
It extends over several hundred meters along a nice promenade with activities for children.
Fécamp is equally a cultural area with the Palais Bénédictine and a museum. The museum of Terre-Neuvas and fishing are located near the dam. We can come here to discover the souvenirs of fishing in the cauchois country which was an important activity at the time when Fécamp was the terre-neuvas capital.
For a great view, we advise you to go to Cap Fagnet (north of town) where you can discover a nice panorama from the semaphore. The Notre-Dame-de-Salut chapel is found nearby.
For more tranquility, the Yport Beach is very nice at high tide (and only a few kilometers away). To the north, we find Dieppe which is the oldest French seaside destination and holds one of the beaches closest to Paris. If you are looking for a sand beach, go toward Honfleur passing by the Normandy bridge to join the Cote Fleurie which marks the end of the high cliffs of Normandy.
