Macinaggio is a seaside resort in Corsica located on the eastern tip of the Cape. It is composed of several islands. It is Rogliano’s marina and one of the eight hamlets that make up the town. The old stones and the beautiful sea view are its best assets. It welcomed Empress Eugenie and history lovers like to stroll through the narrow streets to discover many old houses, tower remains, the monastery and chapels. Sant'Agnellu church has a must-see remarkable baroque facade and a marble balustrade! Macinaggio harbour is an area of great tourist attraction where boaters and diving enthusiasts like to meet. Sailboats and motorboats can be rented there for sea trips.
There are several coves and beaches in Macinaggio, within walking distance (along the coastal footpath) or accessible by boat. Most of these sites are still wild and they are like small quiet paradise. In Macinaggio Bay (Padoule), Tamarone, Cala Genovese, Cana Francese in the Bay of Santa Maria, bathers are spoiled for choice! Marine Beach offers many activities for young people.
It is possible to walk through the coastal path to the little port of Barcaggio (marina in the northernmost part of Cap Corse).
