Cala Francese Beach in Macinaggio is located on the sentier des Douaniers and leads to Barcaggio, 30 minutes after the tower of Santa Maria. This beach is a haven of peace, hidden and little frequented. Only eight people took advantage of this beach when we were there in August, (sand over 200 meters long). For peace lovers!
Pedestrian access is via the sentier des Douaniers. It takes 1:30 to reach it from Tamarone Beach, via the sentier des Douaniers (not particularly difficult, one should carry water). One must successively pass in front of Finocchiarola Islands then in front of the Genoese tower of Santa Maria. Cala Genovese Beach and Punta Vecchia are after it. The beach of interest is behind it. One can also cut from the inside (at the hut) to reach the tower of Santa Maria in 20 minutes (a little less than an hour to reach it).
