Located in the department of Haute-Corse and composed of several hamlets, the village of Barrettali and its marina are a major destination, one hour from Bastia in Cap Corse.
With its small fishing port in Giottani and the hilltop houses of the village, Barrettali is the typical village of Cape Corsin. There are several giant tombs that one can see from the road, like the one in the commune of Minerbio, which looks like the Pantheon! The Napoleon Road offers stunning views of the marina of Minerbio, just as the trail of Salaghia, where there is still a fishing hut in ruins. Some stand facing the sea and can be discovered by taking the path of the annunziata, a promenade also leading to the Genoese bridge towards Canari.
One can relax in peace and quiet on this pebble beach in the hamlet of Giottani. The water is turquoise but the sun is very strong! It is a pleasant stroll at sunset. Paragliding, diving and swimming in rivers are among the most popular activities. The cool waters of Furcone, in the shade of oak and chestnut trees are indeed very appreciated on hot summer days!
