Finocchiarola Beach in Cap Corsica is the first accessible beach from the coastal path from Tamarone Bay (possible access by car through a track). From the latter beach, a 20-minute walk is necessary to reach this haven of peace. Attendance is almost non-existent. The view of Finocchiarola islands (nature reserve) is beautiful and one can see from the beach the ruins of the tower on the previous island. This beach is wild; there is therefore a layer of Posidonia (underwater flower often wrongly compared with algae).
The easiest and fastest way to access this beach is to park at Tamarone Beach, then take the sentier des Douaniers on the left. A 45-minute walk is needed. It is also possible to leave from Macinaggio harbour but it is one hour longer.
