Our opinion on the Piqueyrot Beach - lake
The sandy beach of Piqueyrot is located on the west bank of Hourtin’s lake, near Gabuléou point, a few kilometres south of the hamlet of Contaut. It also has a lifeguard station which is open in the summer season and a sailing club. Near the beach, there is a pine grove with picnic tables. Despite the small size of this beach, it is still nice for families with children. Shallow and no waves are real advantages over the ocean.
To go to this beach from Hourtin-Plage, take the directions for Contaut and then Piqueyrot. The beach is at the end of the hamlet near the point.
