Near La Palmyre, the beach of the old lighthouse of La Tremblade whose access is south of the Coubre forest offers a totally wild environment. Wit hits full west orientation, the beach is especially dedicated to water sports (mainly surfing). For swimming, unfortunately, it is very dangerous because of the strong currents and its strong agitation. Every year, bathers are swept away…so to enjoy the sand and a unique environment. Some naturist come to isolate themselves. Note that dogs are tolerated on the beach all year long.
Access by the D25 from La Palmyre taking the direction of La Tremblade. There is free parking (signs indicating the parking lot of the old lighthouse).Walk through the dunes.
