Our opinion on the Mirador Beach
Mirador Beach is the beach at the Point of Cap-Ferret at the gateway of Arcachon Bay near the restaurant « Le Mirador ». This sandy beach offers wonderful views over the Dune of Pilat. It is not supervised but this is the most easily accessible beach (no need to cross a dune). There is a small carpark near the Point as well as a restaurant and a snack-bar. This area is not recommended for swimming but is ideal if you want to enjoy the beautiful scenery. On the right, you can reach Horizon Beach (around 3km…) and the nature reserve of the dunes of Cap-Ferret.
To access this beach, follow indications for the Point of Cap-Ferret. The beach access is located behind the restaurant on the right, near the Point.

From this beach, you can reach the various beaches of Cap-Ferret up North (but it is quite far, several kilometres).
This beach is easily accessible from the carpark. No need to cross a dune like the other beaches.
As shown on this sign, you must not go to the left. Here is the way to go onto the beach.
