Cap-Ferret’s Horizon Beach is situated near the lighthouse on the ocean side. This beach near the Point of Cap-Ferret is supervised during the summer and has access for people with reduced mobility. It can also be accessed in the high season by means of a small train, the Terminus of which is at the top of the dune. This is a very nice beach and is typical of Cap-Ferret’s beaches. There are WW II bunkers in the dunes and one on the beaches.
To get to this beach from the centre of Cap-Ferret, take “avenue de l’Océan” which provides access to ocean beaches from the Arcachon Bay. There is a small carpark at the bottom of the dune.
