Cap-Ferret’s Garonne Beach is located between the villages of “Le Canon” and “Herbe” (both are located on the edge of the Arcachon Bay). This large sandy beach is not supervised (the nearest supervised beach is Truc Vert Beach, about 2km away). It is accessible from the forest road (well indicated with large blue signs on the side of the road). There is a large carpark with picnic area in front of the beach access. Note that the beach is a little remote, it takes 15 min to cross the dunes from the carpark (board walk). The environment is very nice but it is advisable to use the nearby beaches which are supervised especially if you would like to swim.
